We’re all busy and have a million things on our plate. But stop. Take a minute. Close your eyes and think back on all you have accomplished just this year.
Have you done it? With the deadline extended, you now have until Wednesday, April 10th, 8 pm to submit your nomination.
Too often we have our head in the game, and don’t stop to think of just how much we have achieved or overcome. The Women Leadership Awards is that moment to stop and acknowledge our achievements, not only for the benefit of ourselves, but for others.
What can the Women Leadership Awards mean for you and those around you?
Get recognition and be an inspiration
The WLA recognizes professional women who have emerged as leaders in their field. As leaders, these inspiring women – and since 2016, men supporting women – have made a marked difference in our community and have forged paths for others to follow.
But why is it so important that women are recognized? We asked former Women Leadership Awards winners to share their thoughts on why it is so important to recognize yourself, and women around you.
Gain significant exposure
The WLA may help you reach a whole new audience, potential new investors, increase brand awareness or awareness to your cause, or simply be a significant turning point in your career.
The WLA brings both finalists and winners significant visibility and recognition in the business community through various media. The IPWS network alone has a digital reach of over 8,000, and finalists will be celebrated at Shanghai’s most exciting leadership conference, the IPWS Summit, gathering 300-400 people on May 31st, 2019.
Last year the WLA was picked up and posted by 114 Chinese and international news outlets, including Sina.com, Sohu.com and The Paper. The Average Potential Audience per site was over 21 million!

The WLA Process
Six independent Jury members using the established WLA Criteria Guidelines for each award category will review all nominations. The Jury will participate throughout the entire selection process. Following the review of all nominations, the Jury will select two finalists for each WLA category, except for Lifetime Achievement. These finalists will be notified On or before May 1st.
On Saturday, May 11th, the finalists in each category (except for Lifetime Achievement) will be required to represent themselves in front of the Jury for a 30-minute in-person session. The Jury will score and select the recipient of each award category based on the nominees’ presentations, and their recognized accomplishments submitted beforehand through the nomination process.
The winners will be announced and recognized at the Women Leadership Awards ceremony to be featured at the IPWS Leadership Summit on May 31st, 2019.
You can nominate yourself, your friend or your colleague. IPWS recommends you read over the nomination requirements (scroll up), full Criteria Guidelines, Frequently Asked Questions, and the Do’s and Don’t for nominations before nominating.
We look forward to receiving your WLA nomination! It’s an exciting time for us at IPWS, and we are so proud to present the Women Leadership Awards again this year. Stay tuned for more information about the WLA and Leadership Summit through our newsletter, website, and social media accounts.
