Our mission is to help women become strong leaders all around the world. We do this by giving them the support and opportunities they need. Through mentoring, workshops and programs that build confidence, we are working towards a future where women are leaders everywhere, making the world a better place for everyone.

IPWS serves as a platform for those who champion the empowerment of professional women. We achieve this by organizing events and nurturing a diverse community. Through these initiatives, we create valuable networks, promote personal development, and foster professional growth.
Our 30 year timeline
Founded in 1993 as EPWS in Shanghai by 13 professional women, quickly growing to 80 members in the first year
Continued to grow and develop in response to changing times & evolving role of professional women in China
Organized Women Leadership Awards for the first time in 2006
Rebranded as IPWS in 2016
Hosted 4 annual Leadership Summits
