Last Thursday, IPWS joined the British Chamber Shanghai’s Women in Business Focus Group, AustCham, SwissCham, BenCham and MayCham at the fabulously festive venue Calypso for an evening of busy conversations, as we  celebrated our connections from the past year.

It was a rich evening sharing networks and experiences for some of Shanghai’s top professionals with over 100 women gathering on the rooftop. We were joined by a large group of touring doctoral candidates, from the Chicago School of Professional Psychology, from the USA.  The visiting students are studying International Psychology, which is the study of cultural, cross-cultural, and indigenous psychologies. While in Shanghai, the students will complete a group project, which is focused on the Women’s Empowerment Principles and women who work in China.  All students are interested in growing their awareness of the Chinese culture, women working in China, and organizations in China, and IPWS welcomes the students & their professors back to Shanghai anytime!

During the evening, IPWS presented a cheque of 10,500RMB to graduates of the World Academy of the Future of Women after a series of fundraising campaigns around this year’s Women Leadership Summit. The WAFW is our main benefaciary, and strongly support its mission to empower women through the discovery of their passion, purpose, and path to success, calling forth the full expression of human possibilities through collaborative and inclusive partnerships.
