Do’s and Don’ts for WLA Nominations

With the Women Leadership Awards nominations open we want to make sure the process is a smooth as possible for you. We’ve put together a brief set of guidelines to follow when submitting your nomination form to make sure it conveys the right information about each nominee.

3 Do’s:

1. Tell a story that picture how your leadership is conveyed, perceived and what you stand for in  terms of core values

2. Share examples that are measurable, quantifiable, put things at perspective

3. Talk about people around you that you are working with, and tell a story that uses that pattern

Also elaborate on:

  • Challenges: what was the challenge you have faced (or many) that has triggered your leadership to take a leap, stand out, etc.
  • Actions: what were the series of actions that you took, which lead your team to move beyond
  • Results: what’s the result obtained and what did you learn out of this?
  •

2 Don’ts:

1. Avoid telling your life chronology

2. Avoid talking solely about your own challenge without mentioning how your team has supported you, and you have supported them to overcome it
