IPWS (International Professional Women’s Society) is a volunteer-run platform for dynamic women with diverse professional backgrounds to connect. Through our community and events, we build networks, foster personal growth, and develop professionally. We warmly welcome all professional levels, all nationalities and all genders as members to our organization and participants to our events.

The organization is fully run by a volunteer Board of Directors, Board Advisors, Committee Members, Interns and Volunteers.

Marketing & Communications Executive

Help promote IPWS in our community and beyond! Marketing & Communication Executives are responsible for shaping the positive image and branding of IPWS, and making sure that IPWS is consistently seen and heard by the right audience. It is a hands-on role that requires you to be passionate about digital marketing and communications.

As Marketing & Communications Executive you will:

• Communicate with the IPWS community about events and other news.
• Manage the ipwsconnect.com website, social media platforms and event publishing platforms.
• Maintain a consistent presence for IPWS on selected channels; WeChat subscription account, website, email newsletter, Instagram, LinkedIn, Facebook.
• Create and curate on-brand content for all channels, for example, event descriptions, content for event promotion, event recaps and more.
• Coordinate with board members and external stakeholders to collect communication materials as needed (text, images, logos etc.).
• Liaising with partners, vendors and other organizations (including working with sponsors, partners, web developers, graphic designers etc.).
• Coordinate with local publications and media, update existing print and online materials.

Additionally, as an IPWS Board Member you will:

• Attend monthly Board Meetings (one evening per month).
• Collaborate in developing IPWS event programming throughout the year, including facilitating the annual Women Leadership Awards and the IPWS Summit.
• Attend IPWS events and represent IPWS to the best of your ability.
• Take the lead with other Board Members in organizing one IPWS event per quarter.
• Work towards achieving the mission and vision of IPWS.

• Have strong communications and native-level English language skills.
• Have a great understanding of social media and the digital marketing landscape.
• Have experience in managing different social media platforms.
• You have an excellent eye for detail.
• You are proactive, positive, ready to take action and work hands-on.
• Skills in graphic design, photography or any related field is a big plus!

The IPWS Marketing team consists of two Marketing & Communications Executives. The two Executives share the areas of responsibility and collaborate on a regular basis.

For this volunteer IPWS Board position, we are looking for a proactive and positive woman in the Shanghai community, with an eye for detail and strong communication skills. You have experience in leadership and community engagement, and you would be enthusiastic in translating the IPWS mission and values to inspire our community here and around the world.
