IPWS provides support to women across different platforms, and last week we were delighted to partner with Global Business Club (GBC Group) for their Prize Start Up Competition for Women Entrepreneurship, held at Xintiandi’s new Naked Hub. The competition involved eight participants pitching their Start Up concepts to a panel of judges and with a high energy level of passionate start up storytellers combined with audience enthusiasm, resulted in an overwhelmingly positive event for Shanghai’s entrepreneuring community. The GBC Group’s vision is about connecting business people, companies, organizations all around the globe for sharing information, ideas, opportunities to be prepared against all economical challenges of the present and future era.
With special guests like Stone from Bon App, Michelle Yeh from Green & Gorgeous and many more all part of the event, it was a wonderful collection of entrepreneurship and especially with the first edition of the competition focussing on women.
All 8 participants came from a variety of industries, but it was a digital & technology specialist who won the prize, followed by a fashion digital specialist as runner up! Congratulations to Zia Word who pitched & came out in front for her project ‘chozun’, a handy APP that provides curated services & local experiences from trusted providers, based on your tastes. Runner up (but only a few points) was Emmy Teo, for her concept ‘Fashory‘.
We congratulate all the participants and GBC Group on their inaugural Start Up Competition for Women Entrepreneurship and we look forward to hearing what all these women entrepreneurs accomplish in the future!
