For me:
Courage is taking the right chances when they materialize, trusting your instincts.
Courage is finding your voice, and having a modicum of disrespect for authority.
Courage is not using injustices against you as a crutch, not letting them define you.
Courage is knowing when to be content, when to control your ambitions and say it’s enough.
Oscar Fuchs
Former MD and Co-Founder ChapmanCG | Content Creator and Opinion Leader, Oscology
Oscar Fuchs was the Co-Founder and Managing Director of ChapmanCG, an executive search firm dedicated to the Human Resources profession. Headquartered in Singapore, the company works in all key world markets, partnering with CEOs to appoint their Global, Regional and Country HR teams.
He has lived in total for 15 years in Asia: 3 years in Japan, 6 years in Singapore, 3 years in Hong Kong SAR, and 3 years in Mainland China. He is a British national, a Singapore Permanent Resident, and currently resides in Shanghai.
On a personal level, Oscar is a keen writer, pianist, photographer, traveler and linguist. He completed a 250km ultra-marathon in Namibia in 2009, but these days limits his sporting activities to jogging, hiking and skiing.
And on an even more personal level, we wanted to get to know Oscar a little better, so we asked him how is family might describe him?
“My family would describe me as a brooder, an adventurer and a provocateur.”
