Last Thursday, September 5th, IPWS members and supporters gathered to celebrate the successes of the past season and welcome the year ahead. It was an evening spent with old and new friends, along with plenty of networking and discussions around ideas of continued professional development and growth.
The gathering took place in the beautiful setting of Dao Jiang Hu, Modern Chinese Kitchen by Ginger.
During the evening, IPWS Board members reviewed past year’s activities and accomplishments, and introduced the IPWS Board of Directors for the next term.

We would like send our very best to outgoing President, Amanda J. Argentieri, who has graciously served on the IPWS Board of Directors for 5 years. As IPWS President and Board Member, Amanda has made countless contributions and led the organization to reach new heights as a modern and dynamic platform for women to connect.

IPWS 2018-19 Highlights:
- IPWS organised 22 events and 10 partner events.
- The organisation is strong with 172 members from 37 nationalities and more than 600 event attendees.
- IPWS is present over seven digital channels, reaching more than 10,000 individuals globally.
- IPWS was supported by six generous sponsors and 35 partners
- The 4th IPWS Summit and 13th Women Leadership Awards gathered 250+ passionate professionals on May 31st.
- IPWS raised and donated RMB 17,000 to our beneficiary, the World Academy for the Future of Women.
Throughout 26 years of history, IPWS has developed professional and transparent governance processes. The selection process to become an IPWS board member is transparent and open to any international women who seek to bring value to the community. It includes a formal application through the IPWS website, interview with several board members and voting by current IPWS members.
The 10 IPWS board members serve for the period of one year starting in September. They each bring their own diverse knowledge, set of expertise and network to the community. The board meets once per month to reflect on past initiatives, prepare upcoming events and manage collaborations.
