World Mental Health Day – It’s Okay to Not Be Okay

“The most important thing you can do is let people know that they are not alone!” Juliette Lewis

In honor of World Mental Health Day and to draw awareness to remove the stigma associated with the Mental Health discussion on behalf of IPWS, we want to remind you, YOU ARE NOT ALONE!!!

There are so many options and support in our community such as Community Center Shanghai, Inward Resources and Lifeline. We urge you to reach out. It’s okay to NOT be okay.

As someone who hit a personal low with my mental health in the last year, I know that it is scary to be vulnerable and put it out there.  But you only start to heal when you do. Otherwise, if we continue to deny our pain, we slowly transform into an empty shell with a smile painted on.

I was only able to get through it because there were people who circled around me until I found my way. And yes, there were so many of you.

And it is truly up to all of us to create space to support and advocate not only for ourselves but those around us who are struggling in silence.

We are so much better TOGETHER!

With warm regards,
