On last Thursday, October 27, the Annual General Assembly marked the beginning of a new season for IPWS. Members and supporters celebrated the accomplishments of the past year and welcomed our Board members. You can see read all about the 2022-2023 Board of Directors, Advisors and Committee Members here.
It was an eventful evening that took place in the beautiful setting of Italo. We also had the pleasure of hosting a Thought Activator, on a fascinating subject – The Women of Old Shanghai. Click on the title to discover some of the names of women who paved the way for all of us today.
Many heartfelt thanks to our speaker, Tina Kanagaratnam, for her wonderful storytelling and insights.
Tina is the co-founder of Historic Shanghai, a heritage group established in 1998 to delve into, and share, the city’s unique, hidden histories ~ on walking tours, in talks, and a book and film club. A Singaporean raised in Washington, D.C., Tina is CEO of PR agency AsiaMedia, and has lived and worked in China since 1995.
We hope that you enjoyed the evening as much as we did!
