For the third, and final IPWS Thought Activator of 2018, we welcomed Cyrille Jégu as our Thought Activator. Cyrille is a master trainer for the famous concept Getting Things Done® and he kicked of the evening reminding us just how important managing your time can be.
We live in a world with constant distraction, and an overwhelming about of information.
Even when we plan, make lists, or write down goals — life happens and the unexpected can really get in the way.
So how do you retain the right information, complete tasks on time, and stay organized?
Cyrille reminded us that you can do anything… just not all at once.
He guided us through a short exercise to help recognize everything that you’re trying to hold in your brain at one time, and some tips for helping to keep organized and on track.
We spent the rest of the night in groups discussing how we each deal with the multiple responsibilities so many of us living in Shanghai have, and how we deal with, or struggle with getting things done.
“This workshop gave me the opportunity to take a step out of my busy daily life and think calmly on some simple and efficient ways to make it better”
– Caroline
“I realized there are many people, who like me, also face a challenge when it comes to focusing. This was a good opportunity to learn some tools and methods to manage my time.”
– Holly
